sensorio paso robles

NOTE: As of December 7, 2020 Sensorio is closed due to the State COVID Guidelines. They plan to reopen in January 2021.

Planning on visiting The Bruce Munro: Field of Light At Sensorio here at Paso Robles? This incredible art installation, comprised of an array of over 58,800 stemmed spheres lit by fiber-optics, illuminating the landscape in subtle blooms of morphing color, is a must-visit. Keep reading below to enjoy an entire day filled with Paso Robles art and a good amount of Paso wine too! (Which is why we highly recommend a private charter, so you can fully immerse yourself and experience this Central Coast town’s art and wine.)

Step 1: Visit Sculpterra Winery

There’s only one way to kick off the Sensorio Art Experience in Paso Robles and that’s by starting with a winery that is locally famous for its breathtaking art that covers the grounds. As soon as you arrive at Sculpterra Winery & Sculpture Garden, towering and magnificent sculptures will greet you. This Paso winery has combined the art of winemaking with the craftsmanship of sculpting and painting. Make your way to the tasting room, furnished with intricate murals, and pick up a glass of Cabernet. Then explore their magnificent outdoor art museum.  Watch out, you could easily spend the majority of your afternoon here.

Step 2: Enjoy dinner at the Cello Ristorante & Bar

For your second stop, for the Sensorio Art Experience, it’s time for dinner. In the spirit of Paso Robles, you’ll be eating at only steps away from a vineyard at Cello Ristorante & Bar a restaurant in the Allegretto Vineyard Resort. With the Tuscan-style architecture, that stands amidst acres of vines; you can’t miss it! From the moment you step onto the walkway, you’re transported to a place of fine art. No matter where you turn in the Allegretto, you’ll find museum-caliber pieces leading to Cello Ristorante & Bar. Trust us, food tastes better when it’s surrounded by art.

Step 3: (Main Event) The Bruce Munro: Sensorio Light Experience

It’s time for what you’ve been looking forward to all day. The sun has set on the Paso Robles and the lights of Sensorio have twinkled on, blanketing the hillside in rich color. Wander through the installation and fully immerse yourself in the blossoming art. For this exhibit, you can purchase a VIP ticket, gaining access to hillside views over the installation, a private VIP Airstream bar stocked with some of the best Paso Robles wine, fire pits and lounge seating. Or, you can enjoy a regular ticket, gaining you access a common area with live music, local food and drinks. Both tickets still offer the same incredible immersion of The Bruce Munro: Field of Light At Sensorio experience.

Step 4: Cocktails at Eleven Twenty-Two Speakyeasy & Lounge

The night is still young and your Sensorio Art Experience isn’t over quite yet. Head over to downtown Paso Robles. There you’ll find a local favorite, the Eleven Twenty-Two Speakeasy & Cocktail Lounge. While there are no grand works of art hanging like in Sculpterra Winery or at The Allegretto Vineyard Resort, you’ll instead find the art in every cocktail you order. Seems like a fitting way to conclude a day full of admiring art by drinking it instead.

Let’s get going, Paso wine and art are calling! Schedule your own Sensorio Art Experience with us or customize it to your heart’s content.
