shuttle on st.patricks day in slo sponsors

San Luis Obispo, CA: SLO Safe Ride is working to reduce residential disturbances, traffic and drunk driving on the morning of St. Patrick’s Day. They will provide a free three-stop shuttle system in San Luis Obispo running from Campus Bottle to SloDoCo to the downtown bars. The shuttle is tentatively set to run from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m., with confirmation of a general scheduling pending announcement. Similarly, in an effort to keep the partying responsible, SLO Safe Ride will set up their traditional Hydration Station and pass out water, donut holes and safety-related information.

For the first time, SLO Safe Ride is partnering with local businesses to make this shuttle free for all riders. While their average downtown rides are cheap (around $10), their goal this year was to increase safety on the roads by encouraging more people to take the shuttle instead of driving.

Noah Raynor, the owner of SLO Safe Ride, explains: “With the help of our Community Partners and St. Patrick’s Day sponsors, we are able to do our part to help ensure students and locals can get to the bars and back safely, without worrying about the cost and, most importantly, without driving.”

SLO Safe Ride will release more information on the shuttle closer to the event. For more information go to: Slosaferide.com/st-patricks-day-shuttle/
