Concerts in the Plaza – San Luis Obispo
If you’re looking for a free concert series in San Luis Obispo, look no further than Concerts in the Plaza! This summer concert series jams out every Friday from June 24th -August 26th from 4:30 – 8:00 PM at Mission Plaza in downtown. These concerts are perfect for families! There’s space for kids to play on the grass by the amphitheater. However, dogs are not allowed. But your dinner from Luna Red, Novo Restaurant & Lounge, or one of the many other local restaurants is! (You can also hear the music from the patio of Luna Red if you choose to eat there.) Set up some lounge chairs or blankets and dig in while enjoying the tunes. Outside alcohol isn’t allowed, but you can purchase wine, beer, and cider at the concerts.

Tuesdays In The Park – Atascadero
Local food trucks, local beer and wine, PLUS live music? Tuesdays in the Park at the Atascadero Lake Park have it all! Join in the summer fun every Tuesday from 5 – 8 PM until August 23rd. Music from the Atascadero Community Band kicks off at 7 PM. Bring your lawn chairs, or some blankets and relax by the lake with good food, and great tunes! You’ll also have the opportunity to support awesome non-profits in the community. This event’s free! Food and beverages are available for purchase.

Concerts In The Park – Templeton
Another great local free summer concert series is Concerts in the Park in Templeton Park. This cozy, town offers some great small-town vibes and invites some of the best local bands to play on its bandstand in the center of the park. Join in the fun every Wednesday from 6 – 8 PM, excluding July 27th (during the Mid-State Fair). With a playground only a few yards from the live music, this event series is perfect for families with young kids! While there’s no official food or beverages offered, there will be the occasional food truck or stand; attendees, are also encouraged to bring their own picnics to enjoy out on the park’s grass.

In wine country looking for free music after a weekday wine tour? Join in the free concerts in City Park every Thursday this summer, right in the heart of downtown Paso Robles. Enjoy everything from rock, pop, soul, dance, blues, and more! Bring your picnic and a few blankets and chairs and enjoy. No barbecuing or pets are allowed during the concerts. Music goes from 6 – 8 PM, and is a great way to roll into an early weekend!
