San Luis Obispo, CA: SLO Safe Ride is partnering with Cal Poly University to offer campus shuttles to provide students, faculty, and staff a safe and easy way to navigate the campus. Known as the Mustang Shuttles, the shuttles are ADA-friendly and are accessible to those with a Cal Poly ID. The shuttles will run on a loop to seven pick-up and drop-off points, seven nights a week, from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. These stops include Kennedy Library, Poly Canyon Village, Cerro Vista, the University Union, and the Performing Arts Center.
Noah Raynor, the owner of SLO Safe Ride and former Cal Poly student, shares more: “SLO Safe Ride was created by Cal Poly students and a local San Luis Obispo resident for the safety of students getting from campus to downtown and back. While we offer more services now like wedding, corporate, and airport transportation, in addition to wine, brewery, and distillery tours, our goal remains the same, to make sure people can safely get around and have a fantastic time. With this partnership, it feels great to get back to our roots, helping our Mustang friends travel the campus easily and safely, one shuttle at a time.”
SLO Safe Ride loves working with local colleges and schools across the Central Coast, providing transportation for everything from sports trips, field trips, faculty outings, and more. The transportation company continues to look for ways to support local schools and businesses in the community and encourages local city officials, businesses, and residents to reach out if they can help.
