Novo-San-Luis-Obispo

Novo Restaurant & Lounge – Recommended The Capocollo Benedict

There’s nothing we love more on a Sunday before a wine tour than brunch! Trust us; wine tastes even better on a full, post-brunch stomach. Their brunch comes with plenty of options, perfect for a larger group with many different taste preferences! Enjoy everything from sharing plates of calamari to various benedicts to sandwiches and salads, or main courses like ribeye steak and eggs or a farmers’ market vegetable omelet. Our favorite option? The Capocollo Benedict, which is made up of English muffins, capocollo (thinly sliced dry-cured pork salume), poached eggs, fresh hollandaise, and roasted potatoes. Our mouth’s watering already! (Did we mention that Sunday wine tours are also usually less crowded than Saturday ones? It’s the perfect brunch and a wine tour is a perfect co

Woodstocks-Pizza-San-Luis-Obispo

Woodstock’s Pizza – Recommended The Kickin’ Carnitas

After a successful night out on the town, or perhaps after a couple of brewery stops on a brewery tour, there’s nothing quite like a hot slice of pizza loaded with cheese and toppings (their All Meat Orgy fits the bill perfectly). Woodstocks Pizza is easily one of our favorite pizza stops in San Luis Obispo! They make their dough in-house daily and source local ingredients (trust us, it’s quality you can taste). Our personal favorite pizza there is the Kickin’ Carnitas. This pizza is covered in Southern Chipotle sauce, topped with slowly marinated carnitas, crispy bacon, red onions, and fresh cilantro. Yum!

Old San Luis BBQ – Recommended The Tri-Tip Sandwich

If you’re looking for the perfect picnic food while you’re wine tasting in wine country, look no further than Old San Luis BBQ. Grab an easy-to-go sandwich, sliders, or salad and hit the road. The food tastes better when you’re surrounded by vineyards and sipping wine. Our favorite to take on wine tasting picnics? Their Tri-Tip Sandwich! It’s made of hand-trimmed, certified Angus beef that’s grilled over a red oak BBQ and served on locally made sourdough bread with a homemade sauce. So good!

Luna-Red-San-Luis-Obispo

Luna Red – Recommended The SLO Bowl

For those that want to stay in the heart of downtown San Luis Obispo, Luna Red is an easy and delicious option! Located next to the Mission Plaza and by the creek, the restaurant not only serves beautiful food, it’s located in a wonderfully scenic location. So while you’re in SLO you might as well try our favorite lunch there, the SLO Bowl. Made up of farro and quinoa topped with sliced avocados, garlic-fried vegetables, and queso fresco, it’s a refreshing lunch to help you fuel up as you explore downtown.

Talley-Farms-San-Luis-Obispo

Talley Farms – Recommended The Junior Box

While this one isn’t a restaurant, technically, it does help you recreate one in the comfort of your kitchen! After all, a full day of exploring on the coast and wine, beer, or spirit tasting, can work up quite an appetite! For those that want to enjoy a homecooked meal after their coastal travels, that’s where a Talley Box delivered from Talley Farms comes in. With fresh fruits and vegetables all locally grown, you’ll have delicious produce at your fingertips (no grocery store trips for produce required). We personally recommend a Junior Box for just one or two people, which comes stocked with 5-8 vegetables and fruits. If you’re feeding a larger family, you can always upgrade your box to the Original Box.

Clean Machine Meals – 10 Meal Box

This is another delivery or pick-up option for foodies! After all, eating dinner in comfortable pajamas after a long day of traveling and wine tasting feels incredible. Binge your favorite Netflix show, and relax as you heat up dinner. Did we mention that all of Clean Machine Meals are 100% gluten, soy, dairy, and refined sugar-free? (With local, fresh meals, dinners and lunches will never be bland again!) If you’re just staying on the Central Coast for a couple of days, we suggest just picking the 10 Meal Box as a one-time purchase. If you’re a local, you’re in luck. There’s a subscription offer that provides an additional 10% off the box – which is a great deal!
